Manuscript Types

Jurnal Talenta Sipil accepts original scholarly works that are consistent with the journal’s aims and scope. Submitted manuscripts must state clear research objectives, apply appropriate methods, present reliable findings, and make a meaningful contribution to the relevant field of study. Authors should select the manuscript type that best reflects the content and purpose of their submission.

1. Original Research Article

An original research article presents new findings obtained through systematic investigation, experimentation, analytical modeling, empirical study, or other appropriate research approaches. The manuscript must clearly describe the research problem, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusions. The research contribution must be original and supported by relevant evidence and literature.

2. Review Article

A review article provides a critical and structured synthesis of previous studies on a specific topic. It should identify key developments, compare findings across studies, discuss research limitations, and reveal knowledge gaps or directions for future research. Systematic reviews and other rigorously conducted review approaches are welcome, provided that they are relevant to the scope of Jurnal Talenta Sipil and supported by a clearly described methodology.

3. Methodological or Technical Article

A methodological or technical article introduces, develops, refines, or evaluates research methods, algorithms, models, frameworks, tools, or technical systems. The manuscript must explain the proposed approach, provide sufficient methodological detail to allow assessment and replication, and demonstrate its effectiveness through appropriate analysis, experimentation, comparison, or validation.

4. Application or Case Study Article

An application or case study article presents the development, implementation, or evaluation of a method, model, system, or technology in a specific practical context. The manuscript must describe the application context, research procedures, evaluation criteria, results, and practical implications. The article must offer insights or contributions that extend beyond a mere description of execution or implementation.

5. Short Communication

A short communication presents concise but significant research findings, preliminary results, focused methodological developments, or research observations relevant to current developments in the field. Although shorter than a full research article, a short communication must demonstrate scientific relevance, be supported by adequate evidence, and make a clear contribution to the field.

6. Editorial Considerations

The acceptance of any manuscript type by Jurnal Talenta Sipil depends on its fit with the journal’s aims and scope, its scientific quality and originality, and its suitability for peer review. Not all manuscript types may be accepted in every issue. Authors are encouraged to consult the Author Guidelines of Jurnal Talenta Sipil or to contact the editorial team if they are uncertain whether their intended manuscript type is appropriate.

Originality and Scholarly Contribution

All submitted manuscripts must be original, adhere to academic standards, and be prepared in accordance with the editorial requirements and publication ethics policies of Jurnal Talenta Sipil. Each manuscript will undergo an initial screening by the editorial team and, where necessary, peer review before a publication decision is made.
