Jurnal Talenta Sipil applies strict standards regarding authorship. Eligibility for authorship is based on substantial contributions to the research and to the preparation of the manuscript, not merely on administrative or financial involvement.
Minimum Requirements for Authorship
Every individual listed as an author must meet all four of the following criteria:
- Substantial Contribution: Made a significant contribution to the conception or idea, research design, data acquisition, or data analysis and interpretation.
- Manuscript Preparation: Actively participated in drafting the article or critically revising it for important intellectual content.
- Final Approval: Gave final approval of the version of the manuscript to be published.
- Accountability: Agreed to be accountable for all aspects of the work, ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and fully resolved.
Important Note: Individuals who only provided funding, collected basic data without analysis, provided laboratory facilities, or performed general language or grammar editing do NOT qualify for authorship. Such contributions may be recognized in the Acknowledgments section.
Responsibilities of the Corresponding Author
The corresponding author is the individual who holds full responsibility for communication between the journal and all co-authors during the submission and peer-review processes, as well as after the article is published. The corresponding author is responsible for:
- Ensuring that all listed authors meet the four authorship criteria described above.
- Ensuring that no eligible author has been omitted (ghost authorship) and, conversely, that no individual has been listed without making a genuine contribution (gift or guest authorship).
- Ensuring that all authors have read and approved the final version of the manuscript before submission.
