Evaluasi Perkerasan Lentur Menggunakan Metode Bina Marga 2024 di Ruas Jalan Swadaya Kekalik, Mataram

Abstract


Roads are essential transportation infrastructure that support mobility as well as economic and social activities. The increase in traffic volume, particularly heavy vehicles, can lead to a decline in pavement performance. This study aims to evaluate the condition of flexible pavement on Swadaya Street, Kekalik, Mataram City, using the 2024 Bina Marga Pavement Design Manual. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach, utilizing Average Daily Traffic (ADT) data as primary data and secondary data obtained from the Public Works Office of Mataram City, including a California Bearing Ratio (CBR) value of 6% and existing pavement structure data from CV Meridian Pasific. The analysis results indicate that the Cumulative Equivalent Single Axle Load (CESAL) for normal load is CESAL4 of 99986 and CESAL5 of 78478, while for actual load it is CESAL4 of 175519 and CESAL5 of 191778. Based on these results, the required pavement thickness consists of a surface layer (AC-WC) of 5 cm, an aggregate base course (Class A) of 22 cm, and an aggregate subbase course (Class B) of 15 cm. The evaluation shows that the existing pavement structure does not meet the requirements of the 2024 Bina Marga standard, particularly in the base layer thickness and the absence of a subbase layer, which may reduce pavement performance. Therefore, adjustments to the pavement structure are necessary to accommodate the design traffic load and improve the service life of the road.
