Penggunaan Metode Time Cost Trade Off Berbasis Algoritma Genetika

Abstract


One of the main challenges in construction project management is balancing implementation duration and total project cost. Time-Cost Trade-Off (TCTO) is a method used to analyze the relationship between time and cost in an effort to find the most efficient combination. This study aims to present the application of the TCTO method with a genetic algorithm (GA) approach as an optimization technique. The analysis results indicate that accelerating work duration can affect project costs. Analysis of direct and indirect cost graphs using the Time-Cost Trade-Off method demonstrates that accelerating time causes an increase in direct costs and a decrease in indirect costs, thus requiring a balance between the two to achieve project efficiency. These results demonstrate that this approach is capable of simultaneously presenting efficient alternative solutions and can be used as a reference for decision-making in the project planning stage. Consequently, the Genetic Algorithm (GA) has proven to be a practical and applicable method for solving Time-Cost Trade-Off problems in construction projects.
