Pengaruh Beban Lalu Lintas terhadap Sisa Umur Rencana Perkerasan Jalan Menggunakan Metode Bina Marga 2024 Pada Ruas Jalan Swadaya, Mataram

Abstract


The increase in traffic volume, particularly overloaded heavy vehicles, accelerates pavement deterioration before reaching its design life. This makes urban local roads vulnerable to premature damage due to axle loads exceeding design capacity. This study aims to analyze the effect of traffic loads on the remaining pavement service life on Jalan Swadaya, Mataram City, using the Bina Marga 2024 method. A quantitative approach was employed through analysis of Average Daily Traffic (ADT), Vehicle Damage Factor (VDF), and Cumulative Equivalent Single Axle Load (CESAL) under normal and actual conditions. Results showed cumulative CESAL under normal conditions was 94828 ESA, while under actual conditions it increased to 156175 ESA due to high traffic loads. This caused a significant decrease in Remaining Life (RL), where under normal conditions the pavement could achieve its 10-year design life, while under actual conditions service life was estimated at only 7.33 years, an accelerated reduction of 2.67 years compared to the design life. Under actual conditions, RL decreased to 7% in 2033 and -65% at the end of the analysis period, indicating the pavement had exceeded its design capacity and was no longer structurally feasible. Therefore, controlling overloaded vehicles and implementing heavy rehabilitation or reconstruction are necessary to maintain pavement performance.
